Cafés, for some reason, are one of the few consistent places where great ideas are born, all from a few scribbles on a napkin. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that the concept of the Open Coffee Club caught on in many cities around the world and Frankfurt is no exception.
Right at the centre of Germany and the centre of Europe, Frankfurt makes for a potentially opportunistic hub for the growth of small business. Just a few hours by plane from all major European cities, Frankfurt welcomes worldwide travelers daily. Many of these travelers stop by in Frankfurt to attend meetings, a trade fair or to see if a startup is viable.
The Open Coffee Club Frankfurt (OCCFFM) was formed in the spring of 2009. Entering its second year, this monthly meeting of entrepreneurs, investors, would-be-self-employed individuals and basically, anyone interested in founding a business can get together. Just like its name, Open Coffee Club (OCC), the meet ups take place in cafés in Frankfurt. For now the OCCFFM have their meet ups at the Weidenhof on the Zeil. These meet ups take place every 3rd Saturday of the month at 11:00 am in the morning. Unlike other events for startups, the OCCFFM usually hosts for a maximum of 12 members. This allows for better engagement amongst everyone, being able to connect, listen and be heard.
To become a member, you can always join their XING Group.
